We didn’t get out to the mountains this week, (insert a sigh). We have been fortunate enough to get out to the mountains most every week for a couple of years now and I have gotten terribly spoiled.
We caught this gorgeous sunset on the way back from a hike on Going to the Sun road. The day couldn’t have been anymore spectacular. Perfect blue skies and sunshine are an elusive combination in the Flathead Valley during the winter. You can count yourself lucky if it coincides with your day off.
I get mountain fever just seeing these photos. The sunset glow on Mount Vaught and Stanton is breathtaking. Can’t you just picture yourself on top of that peak. Maybe soon, we don’t have a final list of summits for the summer yet.
Glacier National Park – Today we tramped up Going to the Sun road to where the bridge crosses the river.
Today’s adventure is more of a photo kind of adventure. I hope you enjoy the beauties of Glacier National Park in the winter.
It was a dark cloudy day on Sperry trail. The cedars were dusted with fresh snow fall and looking like a holiday card. I couldn’t think of a better way to spend the holidays than to be tromping through the snow in the crisp mountain air.
Today we were out for a hike and when we got back I took a few photos of Lake McDonald Lodge and the lake.
