Gift giving isn’t always a strong point for me. I like gifts that are thoughtful and creative, which is something that often eludes me. However, this time a good friend of mine just had a baby girl and I wanted it to be something homemade for the mother and baby.
In full disclosure, I didn’t knit the hats myself (not a strong point either), my sister is an amazing knitter and made up the patterns herself. There are many cute shops on etsy where you can get handmade things for little ones. One thing that I realized I should have done was properly label the sugar scrub, “for the new Mom”, just to clarify.
For wrapping materials I used a takeout box and ribbon from Joann’s and the tissue paper and card is from Target.
Here’s a close up on the stuffing, I mean wrapping process.
P.S. Bring the baby gift with a dinner for the new parents. The dinner might be the most appreciated.
