buttery soft apple pie filling scented with cinnamon on a shortbread crust with streusel topping all drizzled with caramel for a decadent but healthy treat made without processed ingredients.
Pat out 2/3 of the crust/ streusel mixture into an 11″x7″ baking pan. I like to line mine with 2 strips of parchment paper so I can slide the bars out later. You can also grease the pan well and press the crust right into the pan.
Crumble the remaining 1/3 of the crumble topping mixture over the top. Bake until the crust is golden brown, and the apple slices are tender and bubbling around the edges.
