Start by measuring out all the ingredients and grating the cheese. You'll find all my shortcuts to make the easiest and fastest lasagna over on the blog.
Then brown the sausage and add it to the sauce. There's an option to make your own sauce, or to use your favorite tomato sauce for pasta, and you can't go wrong with either one.
Now it's time to start layering, spoon just enough sauce into the bottom of the baking dish to cover it before laying the noodles in - no need to boil first!
Top with the remaining ricotta mixture and sprinkle with cheese before spoon over some sauce, then 1 last layer of noodles, the rest of the sauce and finally the mozzarella and remaining parmesan on top.
