blueberry scones

tender buttery scones loaded up with fresh blueberries and a hint of lemon for the tastiest combo!

step 1

start by cutting the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles the texture above. You want to see pieces of butter for a more flaky texture.

next stir in the fresh blueberries. Frozen blueberries work as well but they 'bleed' into the flour mixture and will discolor the scones slightly.

step 3

whisk together the wet ingredients and add them to the flour mixture. Mix just to combine.

step 4

Pat the dough into round on a floured surface using your hands and a rolling pin very lightly to even it out.

step 5

cut into triangles and bake until puffed and just done on a parchment line baking sheet.

step 6

when the scones have cooled, melt together the ingredients for the glaze and drizzle over the top.
