Preheat the oven, then peel and slice the carrots about 1/4″ thick.
To slice the carrots ‘on the bias’ to create diagonal slices, turn your knife at a 45º-ish angle as pictured above.
Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Using a whisk stir frequently until the butter turns brown. You want it to be just a touch darker than the photo.
