strawberry rhubarb sauce

sweet strawberries paired with tangy rhubarb in this sauce makes the best topping for ice cream & yogurt.

step 1

wash and trim your rhubarb by cutting the bottom stems off and slicing off the leaves.

step 2

slice the rhubarb and grate the orange zest, measure out the syrup.

step 3

mix the thickener together with the syrup, then add the rhubarb and strawberries.

step 4

Cook stirring frequently as you bring the sauce to a boil.

step 5

Cook until the rhubarb is just tender, then serve warm over ice cream, or chilled with yogurt.
