Place the heavy cream into a large mixing bowl. whip the cream until soft peaks form. This means they have some form but won't stand up on their own, but droop over.

Add the sifted powdered sugar, vanilla, and sea salt. Then whip again until your desired texture is reached or stiff peaks form. Be careful not to over whip it.

fold in the 'secret' ingredient if using and serve right away with your favorite dessert.
