easy to make and always a hit, this Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus is just 3 ingredients with optional balsamic!


step 1

Start by measuring out the ingredients listed. Trim the tough ends of the asparagus by snapping them where they break easily.

Next wrap 2-3 asparagus spears with about 1/2 a slice of prosciutto. If you have really plump asparagus, you may want to wrap each one with 1/4 of a slice.

Brush the wrapped asparagus with olive oil. You can skip this step, but I find it keeps things moist and creates a crispier prosciutto.

Grill the wrapped asparagus over medium heat just until the asparagus is tender and the prosciutto is browning and crispy.

Serve the Prosciutto wrapped asparagus as is right away with your choice of main dish. We love this one with my Tuscan Steak which is linked on the blog.

Or you can also drizzle the finished asparagus with reduced balsamic or aged balsamic vinegar for a fun and tasty variation.

1. Don't skip trimming the asparagus, you don't want tough and chewy ends!

2. Make sure the balsamic vinegar you use is a good quality one or just skip it altogether.

3. make sure the prosciutto you buy is thinly sliced for the best results.
