Strawberry Compote

Just 15 minutes!

easy to make in just 15 minutes, this strawberry compote pairs with ice cream, pancakes, cheesecake etc.

step 1

prep all the ingredients listed, you'll find all my tips and substitutions over on the blog.

start by washing the strawberries if you're using fresh, you can also use frozen strawberries in this recipe.

Next hull the strawberries and cut them into quarters so they break down a bit faster in this sauce.

Add the strawberries along with your sweetener of choice to a pot and bring the mixture to a brisk simmer.

step 5

Simmer for about 10 minutes or until the strawberry compote is lightly thickened. You'll find my tips for how to thicken this compote further in the recipe.

Enjoy this strawberry compote with just about any breakfast or dessert like yogurt and granola, pancakes, french toast, or waffles. It's wonderful with ice cream and cheesecake.
