Description
This body butter is ultra moisturizing and perfect for colder weather days!
Ingredients
6 Tablespoons shea butter
6 Tablespoons shea nut oil, or pumpkin seed/jojoba oil
1 Tablespoon vanilla jojoba oil
10 drops cinnamon essential oil
10 drops nutmeg essential oil
5 drops ginger essential oil
5 drops cardamom essential oil
Instructions
Melt the shea butter in a small saucepan over low heat.
Remove the pan from the stove and stir in the shea nut oil, vanilla jojoba oil, and all the essential oils.
Place the saucepan in an ice bath and whisk constantly until the mixture turns white and thickens slightly.
Pour the mixture into a mixer bowl and refrigerate for about 15 minutes.
Using a whip attachment for an electric mixer, whip the body butter for 3-5 minutes, or until fluffy.
If the mixture isn’t fluffing up, refrigerate for another 10 minutes, and try again.
Transfer the body butter to a container for storage, and use within a few months.
Notes
This body butter lasts for a long while if you always make sure your hands are clean with each use. But if for any reason it ever seems ‘off’ or smells different in any way, throw it out. You’re always better on the safe side.
