Description
This lip balm is sweetly fruity with just a hint of mint, making it perfect for summertime!
Ingredients
1 Tablespoon + 1 Teaspoon grated beeswax, 4 grams
2 Tablespoons jojoba oil
2 Tablespoons coconut oil
1/2 cup freeze dried pineapple tidbits, powdered, 15 grams
Drops of peppermint essential oil, add 1 at a time
Instructions
In a small saucepan, melt the beeswax, jojoba oil, and coconut oil together over low heat.Â
Stir in the powdered freeze dried pineapple, then pass the mixture through a fine mesh sieve.
Over an ice bath, whisk the mixture constantly just until it barely starts to thicken up. This helps to make sure it’s completely emulsified.
Then remove from the ice bath and add the peppermint essential oil in drop by drop until your desired scent is reached. Be careful not to overwhelm the fruity scent with the mint. I personally like between 3-5 drops.
Portion the lip balm out into containers. Seal and store in a cool dark place for up to 3 months. Changes in temperature can affect the texture of this lip balm.
