I’ve been into all things tropical during the last couple months. I think it’s because winter is starting to feel extra long, and I just can’t wait to feel the warm sun on my face again!
I thought I might get a little reprieve when I went to California to work for a week, but they had unusually cold weather, and I found myself wishing I had brought my down coat along. Everyone kept asking if I thought it was cold, seeing as how I was used to much colder Montana weather. But I always maintain that humid cold fronts off the ocean are some of the coldest, most bone chilling weather there is!
In any case, I’ve been making tropical smoothies several days a week because they seem to hit that winter spot just right. This one is particularly good with just a touch of spices like cinnamon, ginger, and turmeric to warm up the flavors.
If you want a more traditional Golden Milk recipe, check out my Golden Milk Iced Latté which can also be made hot. But I’ve been finding lately that it’s much easier just to take the same Golden Milk flavors, and add them to a smoothie. Plus you can’t beat the bright tropical flavors!
For this smoothie, simply add everything to a blender…
… and blend until smooth!
I sure hope you enjoy this liquid sunshine as much as we do!
P.S. For a smaller serving size, check out the second recipe!
